Whataroa’s community hall is an historical and vital asset to the community. Over 100 years old, the hall secured Major District Initiative funding from Development West Coast for a complete refurbishment including a kitchen and toilet upgrade, re-piling and re-cladding. Now acting as the second site for Te Wheke, the hub and its digital resources were put to immediate use for the Farm Plan Project, an MPI initiative. The hall is also instrumental in hosting fortnightly Mastermind sessions.
